Nancy with white riding lesson pony, "Ayden".

A life-long horse lover, Nancy began riding seriously in 1998 when she and her daughter started taking riding lessons at J. Bennett Farms.  She now coordinates the riding lesson program at Bennett Farms, gives riding lessons, and has a special interest in teaching the very young as well as those who, like herself, came later in life to the sport.

When not at the barn, Nancy is hard at work at her orthodontic practice where she helps both children and adults find the smiles they've always wanted through either traditional orthodontics or the new Invisalign technique.

Sharon Grosshans, Riding Instructor and Interscholastic Coordinator
Sharon Grosshans

Sharon Grosshans is a 4th generation equestrian. As a juvenile she showed Equitation extensively in the mid-west. She has over 20 years experience as an Equitation instructor in the Los Angeles area. She is passionate about helping her students realize their goals.

A strong advocate for her riding students, she began working with the United States Equestrian Federation to establish the Saddleseat and Western School League of Greater Los Angeles, (SWSL). It was her personal goal that students in grades 7-12 be recognized for the time spent riding and their riding skills. The SWSL Horse Shows help realize the requirements for the new USEF Varsity Letter Program.
