Bennett Farms is sad to announce the passing of Bubba. Bubba wasn't feeling well late last night, so Jim took him for a walk to graze on some fresh grass. Bubba didn't want to go back to his stall, so Jim stayed out with him. About 4 a.m. the two of them were walking together when Bubba laid down.
Bubba was well known to all not only at Bennett Farms, but throughout LAEC. Each day many people would stop by his stall just to pet him or give him a treat. His name plate says "Bubba, loved by all" and he truly was. The phrase gentle giant well describes this quiet, patient horse. Bubba was always there whenever we wanted to put children and their parents on him. In addition to pulling the carriages and teaching countless people to drive, Bubba was also used in work with handicapped children.
Bubba, missed by all.
